successful installation of Breagh platform
This was then followed by the successful lift and setting of the 1,400 tonnes integrated deck topsides. All work was completed safely and without incident.
The Breagh field is one of the North Sea’s largest gas discoveries in recent years and the project will involve the construction of a new pipeline to bring gas ashore at Coatham Sands, Redcar where it will be piped via a new onshore pipeline to the Teesside Gas Processing Plant, located at Seal Sands, for processing. Sales quality gas will be exported to either the National Transmission System or local industrial users, with natural gas liquids that are removed as part of the processing being delivered to local Teesside businesses.
px Group, in its role as operator of the Teesside Gas Processing Plant (TGPP) and a provider of project management and development services, is working with TGPP’s owner Teesside Gas and Liquids Processing (TGLP) and RWE to support the project and the future operation of the onshore facilities.
